OPEN HOUSE Optima do Brasil

In 2012 Optima do Brasil celebrates fifteen years providing packaging solutions to Brazilian and Latin American markets and every year we deliver new projects with national fabrication. This means that the company offers solutions in equipment to cosmetic, food, pharmaceutical, chemicals and hygienic industries, with the German’s technology “know how”, besides the advantages of an equipment made in Brazil. Some of these machines were presented in our last Open House, held on October 22th to 26th.

Achema: The chemistry is right!

The greatest visitor magnet at Optima was the processing line for blood plasma products. This line comprises all process steps from washing through to the final seal. A turnkey project that for the first time contains the new catalytic aeration system with which the isolator cycle times can be drastically reduced. Great interest was also evoked by the new robot control developed by Optima Pharma with “anti-swash effect”. This ensures that fluids in the containers, gripped by handling robots and moved quickly, always remain at a constant fill level.

Interpack: A window to the packaging world

When considering an exhibition, it is a common practice to review figures and facts. The show organizers reported a very successful Interpack 2011. Whereas 171,000 visitors came to the Interpack in 2008, the year of the financial crisis, only 166,000 guests were counted in 2011. The share of international visitors at 60% remained stable, just like the number of the exhibitors (2,700). Does that indicate a setback for an industry so accustomed to success and records?
