Feedback of Packaging Valley Days 2010 was overwhelming

From June 9th - 10th, the first Packaging Valleys Days took place in Schwaebisch Hall. More than 180 guests from 15 nations participated, many of them from countries outside of Europe. The central advantage of the Packaging Valley – a cluster of leading packaging machinery manufacturers within the region – was very well received.
The event started with two presentations: Dr. Klaus Hecker explained to the audience how organic and printed electronics have the potential to change the entire landscape of the packaging world in the very near future. In this context, add-on functionalities and marketing aspects are key words. The impact of mechatronics, software engineering and modern organization processes on the success of machinery building projects was outlined in a presentation by Dr. Rainer Stetter, and further highlighted in a subsequent panel discussion. The kick-off event impressed with the practice relevance of both presentations.
During the company tours which were conducted in the afternoons, all visitors received an opportunity to gain direct insight into the efficiency of the region’s companies.
Another highlight was the party in the evening at in old castle ruins of the Einkorn Mountain: A guest even booked the ‘All Girls Rockband’ on the spot – for a company event in the US, and many will remember the giant fireworks for a long time. |
