This model is supposed to serve as a tool for various industries, in order to make expenses, such as those associated with packaging machines outside of the purchase costs, predictable and ascertainable. This will also help to find the answer to the often-debated question of whether machines that are expensive in purchase price aren’t cheaper in the long run? SoftCan potential The SoftCan from Optima is a new packaging innovation offering consumers and users the combined benefits of several packaging worlds, without their respective limitations. Composite film is used to make a stable package with a new, unique character. Its shape and haptics are reminiscent of a can, but the surface has a whole new feel to it. The upshot: The production of the package as well as the filling takes place on one compact in-line machine. SoftCan is based on Huhtamaki Ronsberg’s patent pending Cyclero concept.

OPTIMA GROUP Pharma Division management appointed

Jürgen Rothbauer and Jürgen P. Schäfer have taken over the management of the newly formed Optima Pharma Division. Mr. Rothbauer will remain CEO of Inova pharma systems GmbH, which together with Kugler, Klee and Autocon constitute the Optima Pharma Division. A graduate engineer aged 47, he has been working in the Optima group for 22 years and is primarily responsible for the technical direction. Jürgen P. Schäfer transfers from the Nonwovens Division management to the Pharma Division management, where he will be primarily concerned with sales. Having been with the company for 18 years, the 56 year old graduate industrial engineer has a wealth of experience in customer consulting, service and acquisition.
